General Information

 

The members of the Chi Tau Omega Chapter of Covington, Georgia welcome all members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. We truly believe that “Every Member is a Pearl” that has been hand picked and cultivated to provide “service to all mankind.” Since being chartered on December 12, 2004, we have continued to uphold the ideals that our founders envisioned for service thru leadership, education, and community involvement. Since the humble beginnings of Chi Tau Omega we have grown and with you as part of our family we look forward to continued growth. We hope you find your home with us as we continue to grow and service all mankind.

Visiting Members

 

 

To visit a chapter meeting you MUST be a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

 

In accordance with National Standard Operating Guidelines and/or Chapter Protocol, visiting members are asked to provide two forms of identification (one primary and one secondary) for meeting entry. Primary identifications may include any government issued ID. Secondary identifications may include, but are not limited to:

 

  • A current or past financial card (in most cases, the name listed should match the primary ID; exceptions: maiden name, married name)
  • A copy of your original membership certificate signed by our National Office
  • A receipt from a Cluster, Regional Conference or Boule that contains your name
  • An invitation from an attending chapter member

 

Note: Chapter meetings are typically held on the third Saturday of each month, excluding the months of July and August and begin promptly at 10:00 a.m. Regular meeting attire is business (denim is not acceptable).

Reactivating Members

 

 

If you are a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and would like to reactivate with Chi Tau Omega Chapter please contact our

Transferring Members

 


Transferring your membership to our chapter requires the following:

  • Clearance from your former chapter
  • Clearance from the corporate office, if you are a General Member
  • Or a Transfer Verification Form for inactive members

Alpha Kappa Alpha seeks women who will promote, uphold and extend its policies and programs. In return, the Sorority is a conduit through which individuals can grow and develop personally and professionally, while simultaneously providing “Service to All Mankind.”
